Biography - Paddy Doyle

Before Paddy Doyle started to attempt and break strength speed stamina records. It all started when he got involved in judo,amateur boxing and gymnastics this he believes gave him the skills later on in life to achieved numerous records in various different sporting disciplines. Coming from a poor background which led to a troublesome life, fighting in bars and clubs he was a regular visitor to the West Midlands Police cells. At the age of 20 yrs he joined the Parachute Regiment and was awarded champion recruit for outstanding fitness levels and determination, he then became a member with 2 Para, passing the 6 week course for patrols / reconnaissance company. Whilst serving with the Paras, Doyle represented the Battalion in army cross country competitions. He also was a regular visitor to the army prison cells for disorderly conduct fighting with Military Police and other soldiers from other units. Paddy Doyle's first strength endurance challenge was on May 28th 1987, witnessed by over a hundred spectators he completed 4,100 press ups with a 50 lb steel weight on his back in 4 hrs 30 mins. Coming from a disadvantaged childhood , brougth up by his father and step mother Paddy believes this gave him the hunger to succeed and be the best in the World in the field of strength speed stamina sports. He has also became an inspiration to many current endurance athletes who have achieved great success in their chosen sport. To date Paddy has a career total of 178 Course, Regional, National, British, European World fitness endurance challenge / title / records. Over 80 of those records still stand.
